My name is Sandra Benussi.

This is the story of why I have a passion for helping people and engaging in meaningful work that brings about positive change in their lives.

For over 20 years, I have been developing and strengthening my knowledge and skills set in the private sector, working across different countries and cultures.

I am a Registered Couples and Family Counsellor with the Swiss Association for Counselling (SGfB), upholding their professional and ethical standards of practice.

I have specialised training in the body centred holistic counselling for women, couples, and young mothers and fathers struggling with self-esteem, attachment, boundary, and co-dependency issues.

Throughout my well-established career, I have undergone a deep process of facing and overcoming many difficult and painful experiences, both privately and professionally.

My life felt like a never ending journey of failed relationships, periods of self-doubt, psychical and mental exhaustion, toxic people, and saviour syndrome issues.

However, my patience, positive mind set, and faith in my ability to transform into a more powerful version of myself, helped me to overcome them one by one.

Over the last couple of years my inner desire and my inner voice became much stronger making me realise that it’s time to make a change on the outside. I am now offering counselling as a service.

My holistic counselling approach incorporates traditional talk therapy, elements of Gestalt therapy and non-traditional techniques from the field of Eastern spiritual traditions, such as mindfulness and breathing techniques, to treat the individual as whole.

It would be my privilege to embark on the growth and self-discovery journey with you, tapping into your strengths to navigate the different spheres of your life at your best.

Let’s connect to determine if you are ready to begin the journey of self-discovery.

My father’s beliefs and uniqueness strongly influenced my perspective on how I work with you together.

There is a copy of the book The Secret in my practice. I have never read it entirely. I keep it as my lucky charm and a reminder of the legacy my father bestowed upon me – his lifelong dedication to encountering the world and the people within it with compassion, joy, and curiosity.

My father related profoundly to The Secret’s core concepts. They emphasize that there is not always a straight line between where you are and where you want to go, but perseverance and belief in yourself are key.

I still recall vividly how he used to glance through the book day after day. After a while his copy had become pretty torn and dirty. He believed this showed his dedication to practising perseverance and moving forward.

The relationship I get to form with you is the most rewarding part of our counselling sessions.

My goal is to provide a safe, encouraging and comfortable environment where you share the issues you are struggling with and receive the true care, respect, understanding and support you need.

The copy of the book The Secret is there only to remind me that I am on the right path in helping you navigate through the challenges and suffering that life brings, and guide you in regaining and reclaiming your balance, self-worth and well-being.

Reach out to gain access to professional support with trustworthy guidance and your best interests at heart.

I am a true lifelong learner who delves into the power of never-ending education and transformation.

I strongly believe that learning is a process that continues throughout every phase of life. Well past my formal education years, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Counselling with the Open University (UK), and I graduated as a Couples and Family Counsellor at the Institute for Body Centred Psychology in Zurich (Switzerland).

I am committed to attending many professional development workshops to stay updated on the latest research, trends and best practices in the psychological field.

I would love to learn more about your life story and support you in making your life more fuller and better.

I am always curious about other people’s stories, because their stories tell me who they are. When you share your story, you reveal your hopes, dreams, challenges, worries and frustration.

As a counsellor, listening to your story allows me to connect to your most profound life experiences. Reflecting your story back to you enables you to gain new insights and perspectives you may not have considered before.

Even in the face of your greatest challenge and most difficult experience, I will highlight your strengths and help you shape your life the way you want and deserve.
